RICS Level 2 Home Survey
The RICS Level 2 Home Survey (formerly known as a HomeBuyers survey) provides a comprehensive report on the general condition of the property and any significant defects. An optional valuation can be included (at an additional cost) together with a figure for insurance reinstatement cost. The report also highlights the specific risks to the property, and includes issues for your legal adviser and environmental information.

The Level 2 home survey report and valuation is produced in the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) format, and provides a clear and professional document, using colour coded condition ratings for each of the building elements. RICS Level 3 Home Survey
The RICS Level 3 Home Survey (formerly known as a Building Survey) offers a more detailed report than the Level 2 survey, and explains the consequences of not carrying out the repairs. It provides a comprehensive assessment of the condition and construction of the property, and technical advice on any remedial work if required. This survey is particularly suitable for older properties, or properties which have been considerably altered or poorly maintained in the past.
The Level 3 Survey includes:

Advice on maintenance and repairs.
A photographic record.
